A 100-hour Somatic Dance Teacher Training
Level 2 is an initiation into remembering what has always lived in the body.
If Level 1 is about bringing people into the felt sense of their body and learning how to hold trauma-informed dance space through sound, presence, and care, Level 2 is about learning how to work with what lives there.
The beliefs, identities, protective strategies, and parts of self that formed to keep us safe, and the deeper intelligence that knows how to move beyond them.
β’ You have completed Somatic Dance Level 1.
β’ You feel ready to work with psyche as lived, embodied experience.
β’ You want to support people beyond regulation into resilience and choice.
β’ You are drawn to both somatic science and shamanic intelligence.
β’ You want to expand your DJ and facilitation skills for deeper, wider contexts.
Level 2 is for facilitators ready to hold complexity, depth, and transformation.
THIS TRAINING IS FOR YOU IF:
When we recognise and overcome the limiting beliefs that hinder us from our greatest potential, we can use that wisdom and the medicine of dance to skillfully guide others.
Deepen your capacity to work with what lives in the body
Learn to meet and update protective patterns through somatic belief inquiry.
Understand how psyche, movement, and nervous system patterning are interconnected.
Refine your DJ skills to support depth, disruption, and integration
Somatic Dance understands psyche as distributed throughout the body.
The mind does not live only in the brain.
Our stories, beliefs, and ways of being are held in tissues, movement patterns, rhythms, breath, and nervous system responses.
Parts of self develop through lived experience personal, ancestral, cultural as intelligent adaptations to the environments we were shaped within. These parts are not broken or outdated; they were formed to protect, organise, and help us survive.
Level 2 works with this intelligence through what we call Somatic Belief Inquiry.
Rather than analysing or fixing, we learn to:
sense how parts of self live in the body
meet them through movement and awareness
support their updating through new experience
This is where somatic science meets shamanic knowing where movement becomes both inquiry and initiation.
TESTIMONIALS FROM GRADUATES
βYou will never be the same, in all the best ways. Level 2 was the biggest reclamation of self to date. Thereβs an energy here thatβs so potent. When those ready to go deeper into the medicine of dance and this mahi come together, the intention is strong, fierce, empoweringβand yet incredibly grounding and nourishing. You will never be the same, in all the best ways."

Absolutely! Payment plan options are available at checkout.

The retreat centre is called: Yogis Garden. Situated 1 hour drive from Ubud.
The nearest airport is in Denpasar.
You will need to get a GRAB taxi or shuttle. (own expense)
Yogi's garden does provide a driver for a cost that we can organise for you, you would just need to organise a meeting point for them to collect you. From the airport it is IDR 550k and from UbudIDR 300k. Even on your own, that is cheap, but way more fun to arrive as a group.
If you haven't already, get the GRAB App for getting yourself around shorter distances, so easy to jump on the back of a scooter with these guys, but you can get a car as well.
We recommend you arrive in ubud / Bali a few days before training starts to settle.

For Bali, most travelers from eligible countries, including the U.S., U.K., Australia, and others, can enter visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism purposes. However, this visa-free entry is non-extendable, so you must leave the country by the 30th day or face penalties.
If you think you might want to extend your stay beyond 30 days, you can opt for a Visa on Arrival (VOA), which is valid for 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days by applying at an immigration office in Bali. The VOA costs $35 USD and can be paid on arrival at the airport or applied for online in advance for a faster entry processβ
If youβre staying strictly within the 30 days, visa-free entry will suffice. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry.
-
Sim Card: You can get that at the airport or I use Airalo when travelling. It's an App that you can download and buy E-sim cards with, again it will save you time.
You can use cards in Bali but cash is best. Get cash out at the airport as they don't charge you conversion fees there. Of course, having a WISE card is also best when travelling to avoid high conversion fees.

Yogiβs Garden is situated in the mountains/jungle, and is quite remote. Because of this, we would recommend bringing some snacks with you (of course we provide meals)
Because we are in the mountains, there can be quite a chill in the morning and evenings. Please bring some warm things / shawl / blankets for practice.
Comfortable clothing that you can practice free movement in
A drink bottle
A journal and pen
