ABOUT ME
When I found conscious dance, everything made sense for me,"ahhhh this is what I've been doing my whole life!!!!" There was a deep understanding that what I was learning in dance spaces was what my body had already been trying to teach me. Dance and teaching my rongoa workshops has taken me to many places, within myself and around NZ, and Australia.
I have completed 200 hours of Somatic Dance teacher training with Somatic Dance International, qualifying me in both Level 1 and Level 2 teacher training. I have been teacher assistant to Level 1 - Somatic Dance Teacher Training in NZ - 2024.
I have also attended many retreats/workshops/trainings specifically to dive deeper into the body through dance, these include many "5 rhythms/open floor" spaces and prerequisite trainings. I bring my own unique gifts to my dance spaces, combining my deep intuitive knowing, energy work, my embodied transmissions of tracking the shadowlands and finding the light and my unwavering connection with nature. I run community dances on the first Wednesday of each month in Kerikeri, as well as seasonal events for women to gather and dive deeper into the stories, patterns, beliefs, and programs that we hold, work-shopping and then dancing, these beautiful gatherings are outside, with nature, fire, river, earth, air, bodies.
I have brought my dance spaces to Aotearoa's iconic festival scene, including Conscious Dance Aotearoa, NZspirit festival, joyfest.... I also holds space as requested including red tent, trees sisters drumming circles, womens groups, goddess gatherings, freedom dances and other spaces calling for true activation into our fullest expressions. I am constantly evolving my skill set and incorporating my many threads of magic into my offerings
