ABOUT ME
Since 2016, I’ve been on a journey to what I know now to be my souls purpose. It began with being shaken loose from the comfortable life I had been living just prior to my 40th birthday. It was a blessing that opened the doorway to start exploring all aspects of this world and to get to know more about me.
Along the way I was lead to a Yoga Teacher training with Sarsha Hope in 2021. I had always been a lover of music and going out to dance but the training awakened a curiosty to know and before the yoga training was finished I knew I was going to complete the Dance Training the same year.
After the training I brought my first set of decks and speakers, and started running my own dance spaces begining with an outdoor Dawn Dance on 22-02-2022.
I look back now and think WOW I did that! I have been holding dancefloors every month since then - whether is is my own Somatic Dance, retreats, workshops, DJing Vinyassa Yoga classes, significant birthdays, underground gigs and festivals. I have been blessed to meet many friends through Somatic Dance and I adore this family spread throughout the world.
What are your specialties?
Since 2022, I’ve been artfully leading Somatic Dance as well as Embodied Flow Yoga. I have been DJing and facilitating my own dance spaces in New Plymouth, assisted on many trainings and I am a part of the New Zealand Teaching Team for Somatic Dance International.
At the heart of everything I do is a love for creating spaces where you can simply come back home to your body and be exactly who you are - whether that’s through the freedom of somatic dance, the flow of yoga, or finding a deeper intimacy with yourself. As a Certified Somatic Sexological Bodyworker, I hold a steady, high-integrity space for you to explore the places where your spirit and your physical body meet. I’m a creative and a ritual romancer, weaving the threads of my souls calling into all of my journeys.
As a visionary and space-holder, I create experiences that awaken remembrance - where movement becomes medicine and presence becomes prayer. In 2025 I brought forth a vision of Dance Temple as I gathered other experienced facilitators to join me in co-creating a 3 hour Somatic Dance Experience for the community. I welcome you into my grounded containers, where I hold the field with reverence, spaciousness and soul.
Where do you teach in?
New Plymouth and Ngamoutu, Taranaki, New Zealand.
I am excited to be teaching the DJ side of the New Zealand Level 1 and sharing the knowledge gathered from Blase & Sarsha to continue to spread the medicine of Somatic Dance.
